A tale of two falling in unlikely love, Moulin Rouge! The Musical tells us a classical tale of romance in the equally romantic locale of Paris, France. In the districts of Montmartre, Christian, a passionate composer who arrives in Montmartre with the goal of achieving his dreams, encounters the would-be love of his life and star performer, Satine, in the nightclub Moulin Rouge. Christian and Satine then choose to keep their developing love a secret, as another wealthy benefactor sets his eyes on Satine as his prize.

Paying tribute to Baz Luhrmann's original that was staged more than a decade after the late motion picture, this musical's initial struggle was to take this known narrative and giving it a modern touch. The best move of the crew, just like the 2001 film, was to tell the tragic love story with alternate and fresh renditions of modern pop arrangements.
