The Broadway musical revolves around the rise and work of Neil Diamond, presenting his most famous hits performed by a talented cast under the supervision of Will Swenson, including "Sweet Caroline", "America" and "Song Sung Blue."
It narrates the story of a troubled Jewish artist from Flatbush who establishes himself as a performer at Greenwich Village's Bitter End and is repeatedly placed in challenging situations as he ages.
The 2022 production has won many musical Awards, including “Outstanding Choreography” and “Outstanding Dancer” in a Broadway Show. Plus, the show has been nominated (and sure to win) for both “Outstanding Production of a Musical” and a “Distinguished Performance Award” under the Drama League Awards.
"It is initially a hit parade within a dramatic showcase of Diamond’s 1960s beginnings in the first act, which is subtly followed by a second act that is set of sequined, post-1960s concerts spliced with portraits of a broken marriage and lonely childhood, and then a dénouement of hardcore emotional resolve." Variety shares.
